Looking for the complete Aniimo type chart — also known as the Aniimo element chart? This page has every elemental matchup in one zero-nonsense table: all 9 elements, who hits for 1.6×, who gets resisted at 0.625×, and what each typing means for your team. The chart works on mobile, needs no clicks, and covers both naming schemes (Light/Holy, Earth/Rock, Lightning/Electric).
Data provenance — element list verified against the official wiki (wiki.aniimo.com) on 2026-08-16; matchup multipliers cross-checked with the in-game Counters Info panel data published by community tools, last updated 2026-08-16. Beta data: values may be rebalanced at the September 16, 2026 launch. The 9 Elements in Aniimo
- ● Fire
- ● Water
- ● Grass
- ● Lightning Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Electric”.
- ● Ice
- ● Earth Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Rock”.
- ● Wind
- ● Light Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Holy”.
- ● Dark
Two Naming Schemes: Light vs Holy, Earth vs Rock
You will meet two sets of names for the same elements, because the official wiki renamed three of them:
- Light — older snapshots say Holy
- Earth — older snapshots say Rock
- Lightning — older snapshots say Electric
They are the same elements with identical matchups. This chart uses the official current names and marks the old ones as aliases, so whichever spelling you searched for, you landed on the right page. The Traditional Chinese wiki additionally uses 光/聖, 土/巖, 電 for the same three.
How to Read This Chart
Aniimo does not use Pokémon’s 2x / 0.5x system. Super-effective hits deal 1.6× damage and resisted hits deal 0.625× — exact reciprocals of each other. Two more rules matter:
- No immunities. Every pairing has a value; there is no 0x.
- Same-type hits are resisted. Fire vs Fire is 0.625×, not 1×.
- The matrix is not symmetric. Ice attacking Wind is resisted (0.625×) while Wind attacking Ice is neutral — always read the attacker’s row.

Legend: rows are the attacking element, columns the defending element. 1.6× = super effective, 0.625× = resisted, – = neutral 1×.

Every Element Explained: Strengths & Weaknesses
Prefer text to tables? Here is every element’s row of the chart, spelled out — including the matchups people most often get wrong.
Fire
Attacking with Fire: Super effective against (1.6×) Grass, Ice. Resisted by (0.625×): Fire, Water, Earth, Light. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Fire, Grass, Ice. A dependable early-game attacker that hits Grass and Ice hard, but four elements resist it — bring coverage moves.
Water
Attacking with Water: Super effective against (1.6×) Fire, Earth. Resisted by (0.625×): Water, Grass, Ice, Light. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Fire, Water, Earth, Dark. Strong into Fire and Earth with a clean resist profile; a safe pick for almost any squad slot.
Grass
Attacking with Grass: Super effective against (1.6×) Water, Earth. Resisted by (0.625×): Fire, Grass, Light. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Water, Grass, Earth. Punishes Water and Earth, but Fire and Light wall it. Best paired with a Wind or Water partner.
Lightning
Attacking with Lightning: Super effective against (1.6×) Water, Wind. Resisted by (0.625×): Lightning, Ice, Earth. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Lightning, Wind, Light. Shreds Water and Wind teams; Earth types are its worst nightmare on both sides of the matchup. Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Electric”.
Ice
Attacking with Ice: Super effective against (1.6×) Water, Lightning. Resisted by (0.625×): Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Water, Lightning, Ice. Great into Water and Lightning, yet the most-resisted attacker in the game (4 resists). Use as a counter-pick, not a core.
Earth
Attacking with Earth: Super effective against (1.6×) Lightning, Ice. Resisted by (0.625×): Water, Grass, Earth, Dark. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Fire, Lightning, Ice, Earth. Blunts Lightning and Ice and resists four elements — the best defensive anchor on the chart. Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Rock”.
Wind
Attacking with Wind: Super effective against (1.6×) Grass, Dark. Resisted by (0.625×): Lightning, Wind. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Ice, Wind, Dark. Clean two-way value: super effective into Grass and Dark, only Lightning and Wind resist it.
Light
Attacking with Light: Super effective against (1.6×) Wind, Dark. Resisted by (0.625×): Lightning, Light. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Fire, Water, Grass, Light. Counters Wind and Dark, and resists Lightning and itself — but very few Aniimo carry it, making it a premium typing. Older snapshots of the official wiki call it “Holy”.
Dark
Attacking with Dark: Super effective against (1.6×) Fire, Grass, Light. Resisted by (0.625×): Water, Wind. As a defender, it takes 0.625× from: Earth. The only element with three super-effective targets (Fire, Grass, Light); the strongest pure attacking type.
Using the Chart: Team Building
Raw matchups only win half the fight — Aniimo is a real-time action RPG, so dodging and your active creature’s typing decide the rest, and the Twine system shares your companion’s affinities with you. Put the chart to work:
- Cover two attack angles. Pair a Dark attacker with a Water or Earth core so resist-walls never shut you down.
- Anchor on Earth. Four resists plus 1.6× into Lightning and Ice make Earth the best default defender.
- Counter-pick with Ice or Light. High upside, high resist-count — swap them in for the matchup, not as a permanent slot.
For the next step, read the Aniimo tier list, best starter guide, best creatures ranking, or start from the creatures list and the how catching works.
Want the chart applied to your lineup automatically? Run it through the free team coverage checker — it scores offensive coverage and defensive exposure, then suggests roster picks that fill the gaps.
Will the Chart Change at Launch?
The 9-element roster is final enough to plan around — it matches the official wiki today. The multipliers are beta values read from the in-game Counters Info panel; the developers can rebalance them. This page shows its last-verified date (2026-08-16) at the top and gets re-audited after every patch, so you can trust what you see here. Spotted a wrong matchup? It gets fixed fast.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many types are in Aniimo?
Aniimo has 9 elements: Fire, Water, Grass, Lightning, Ice, Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark. This is confirmed by the official wiki’s element filter. Rumors of 13 types trace back to an old early-development site and are outdated.
What are the type effectiveness multipliers in Aniimo?
Super-effective hits deal 1.6x damage and resisted hits deal 0.625x — not the 2x/0.5x of Pokémon-style games. 1.6 and 0.625 are exact reciprocals, and hitting a same-type defender counts as resisted (0.625x). There are no immunities.
Are Light and Holy the same element? And Earth vs Rock, Lightning vs Electric?
Yes — same elements, different names. The current official wiki uses Light, Earth, and Lightning, while older official snapshots and some community posts still say Holy, Rock, and Electric. This chart uses the official current names and lists the old names as aliases.
What is the best attacking type in Aniimo?
Dark is the only element with three super-effective targets (Fire, Grass, Light), making it the strongest pure attacker on the current chart. Earth is the best defensive anchor, resisting four elements while hitting Lightning and Ice for 1.6x.
Do Aniimo creatures have dual types?
Yes — each Aniimo carries one or two elements, so a defender can be hit through either of them. The exact way two elements combine defensively will be re-verified at the September 16, 2026 launch.
Is this type chart final? Will it change at launch?
The 9-element list is verified against the official wiki. The matchup multipliers come from the beta’s in-game Counters Info panel (last verified 2026-08-16) and may be rebalanced at launch. The verified date is shown at the top of this page, and we re-check after every patch.
Is the Aniimo element chart the same as the type chart?
Yes — “element chart”, “elemental chart”, and “type chart” are three names for the same 9-element matchup table. Aniimo officially calls its types elements, so both names describe who beats whom among Fire, Water, Grass, Lightning, Ice, Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark.
